I’ve always been against fur and stuff from real animals, unless they’re taken from animals who died naturally and had a happy life… though I’d never wear it, scares the crap out of me, knowing I have a cute lil (dead) ferret hanging around my neck

You know, real fur is not only inhumane, but a million times harder to take care of than faux fur.

I an against wearing fur and generally these days if people find out its real fur your wearing it will not go down well.

Its your own decision but there are plenty of fab coats where an animal did not have to be skinned alive and buggered to sit on the back of your neck.

i have to say, thats really really cheap for a D&G real fur coat.
and i completely dissaprove of wearing fur. it just disgusts me. i just can’t stand it.

It is bad enough we have to eat animals, but that is for nutrients in order to survive healthily…

Do you want someone to steal your dog, pull of its skin, while still alive and sell it on to be made into a “lovely” designer coat for you.

It’s a nice coat, but I would personally opt for a synthetic fur, unless the fur comes from a resource like cattle, sheep, etc. I’m NOT a vegetarian by any means (love a good prime rib!) nor a PETA supporter, but I don’t like to see an animal killed only for it’s fur either.

Watch the type of fur. The Chinese actually steal dogs and cats and kil them horrendously to make fur and then lie about the type. They will actually skin dogs alive and strangle cats with nooses on sticks. Please do not by anything from china with fur on it and tell everyone yoy know not to.

American fur products are made a lot more humanely and you usually know what your buying.

I am not an anti-fur activist. I am a practical type.

I would advise against the use of real fur in clothing.

Very few tanners manage to fully cure furs, or pelts. The is epitomised in your sheepskin rug……… To my certain knowledge, there is only ONE tanner in the UK, who can produce a washable sheepskin rug, which does not wind up smelling nasty.

A similar dearth of effective fur tanners exists.

As soon as your fur gets exposed to the damp (and it will) it will slowly ROT!………… it might take many years to decompose, but your nose will tell you when that process starts!………… and it will be much quicker than you’d believe!

I’ve never heard of real fur for only $136.00. It looks like a pretty coat, but the pic would not zoom. Is it all fur or just the collar? Keep in mind, that you will have to take it to a cleaner that specializes in furs.

If you are not hanging out with PETA members, and YOU want a real fur collar, then buy one. Maybe even go to dinner afterward to the nearest all you can eat steak buffet and chow down!!!
